Maria Carvalho is a Portugal and UK-certified pharmacist with a PhD in compounded medications by the University College of London (UCL). During her 14 years of experience, Maria practiced in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy and the pharmaceutical industry, in Europe and the USA. She was a teaching assistant at the UCL School of Pharmacy (UK) and an invited teacher at the University Fernando Pessoa (Portugal).

Maria is a reviewer of compounding articles for peer-reviewed journals and has authored/co-authored several scientific publications. Maria is currently a consultant for Farmácia Lordelo (community pharmacy) and the manager of PCCA Science.
